Mainly just for fun, sometimes for commission. I work in digital, film, double exposed film and experimental techniques with found photographs.
Double Exposed Film Photography
Over the last year or so I've become fascinated by double-exposure film photography. The artwork for mine and Tarek's album 'So Far We Have Come' was made collaboratively with Egyptian photographer Mostafa Mansour. We sent rolls of film between our countries in Tarek's suitcase, each taking photos of nature, architecture, humans and landscapes that overlay with imagery from the other country. The results were stunning. Here are some of them (unedited)...
I enjoy the playful process of treating old photographic prints with bleach and glue, and watching the colours emerge. A lot of these were prints donated by friends and strangers, but I also have a series with photos taken by myself.
